I don't have a supertrapp, but there are plenty of folks here who do. I put a Harley muffler on mine, and it wasn't really hard- and it CERTAINLY wasn't made to go on a Savage!!!
Muffler mods are pretty easy, just be careful with the chrome (it is pretty thin). Remember that if you don't like the way it looks where the pipe/muffler joins, you can always find an inexpensive heatshield to cover it up.
Take your time, give it a shot, and when you run into problems, ask specific questions on the forum.
